We are building a motorhome that fills a gap in the market - a true family sized expedition vehicle that is as compact as it can be whilst seating and sleeping up to 6 people, yet is lighter on the planet than a full sized truck. But also - the motorhome body is ‘fully grown’ - not in size, but in materials: they were all grown in a paddock or a forest: balsa core composite panels with flax fibre reinforcing bonded with bio-epoxy made from canola oil! The structure and finish are integrated, but not just using thick ply or (heaven forbid) MDF veneer! It's a hybrid framed and sheet system, where point loads are carried with frame and distributed loads and bracing are done with lightweight plywood.
