The Holy Grail is to use no fossil fuel at all. That is not currently achievable, and while some people think 10 litres/100km is acceptable, we are aiming for half that.
5.0l/100km is just about within reach - our current development vehicle can achieve 6.3, and improved models are now on sale - but the key is “compact, light, and aerodynamic”.
